Carp Village Tutoring and Literacy Centre is run by a literacy specialist trained in Orton-Gillingham at the Associate level, and Structured Word Inquiry, who is passionate making the English language accessible for all students. A local Carp resident, mom and business woman, who’s passion for helping students with literacy and executive functioning skills was sparked at home with her own child. She and her staff are committed to helping local elementary students reach their literacy goals in English and French as well as math up to grade 12.
Using a personalized and guided approach, we will meet each student where they are at in their learning. We help them navigate through the learning process, so that they come to the answers themselves for better understanding and comprehension.
We aim to uncover every student’s passion and hunger for learning.

Our Mission
The mission of Carp Village Tutoring and Literacy Centre is to help local students achieve their maximum learning potential with an emphasis on how to learn and learning style. Our approach is individual and unique to each student and their learning needs.
We specialize in math for all students and literacy (reading, writing and spelling) using the Orton-Gillingham Approach and Structured Word Inquiry for students with dyslexia and/or ADHD up to grade eight.
